Colour Investigation

Prep students were introduced to the element of colour and its use in artworks. The use of warm and cool colours was discussed in the artwork of featured artists and explored in their own making. The students worked with ink, acrylic paint and collage.

Line Exploration

Prep students drew and painted various lines with a range of mediums, exploring how line can be used to express different feelings and to describe objects they observe. Inspired by images of Brett Whiteley’s water they created a monoprint using lines of colour to make the background for a drawing of a mermaid. Water colour pencils were used on the mermaid to add colour and movement in the water.
